Richard has a strong technical background and has been in the software industry all his working life having had his first software published when he was just 14 years old! He has put together and run software development houses in the past and a couple of years ago became involved with a company pioneering SaaS using application streaming and virtualization technology. As well as heading up the European development team this also gave him an excellent insight into the SaaS marketplace. Richard has first hand experience of what does and doesn't work in this sector and knows how different companies are approaching SaaS.
He is an active networker with many other SaaS professionals and is known in the SaaS world even by people he hasn't yet met in person! Some recent initiatives he has got up and running are a successful LinkedIn business networking group (www.saasgroup.co.uk), a SaaS Forum (www.saasforum.com), and he writes a blog at www.saasblog.co.uk. He currently runs AppWare, a SaaS software house and consultancy developing bespoke SaaS applications and helping other companies with all things SaaS from initial "go to market plans" to final product testing and rollout.
