E.M. "Max" Maximilien of IBM research describes Swashup, a tool to help developers speed up writing and deploying mashups built using Ruby on Rails and then deploy them to cloud services such as Amazon Web Services. It's designed to create mashups in one day, and get massive traffic from users the next. Maximilien also touches on other IBM web 2.0 tools, such as Damia for data mashups, and Lotus mashups.
