Michael Dunham

Michael Dunham has been working as a consultant and leader in technology strategies and adoption since the early 80’s when he offered to help his brother start a business testing hand-wrapped jet engine operational systems. His experience working between business and technology has spanned networks, telephony, application development, strategic planning, and more recently the fields of “as a service” and cloud-computing products.

Michael’s consulting experience runs from government with some of the earliest moves to web-based intranets and Internet services for the State of California to engagements with some of the most prominent names in technology including Software AG, HP, Amazon, Yahoo, Apple, and IBM. He currently leads the professional services consulting practice for Scio Consulting specializing in the full development cycle for SaaS applications. He is also a key advisor to several startup businesses in the field, helping them develop their approach and strategies as the move to commercialization.

Starting with his seminars for the Technology Training Corporation, Mike has made several contributions to executive understanding of the role of new communication and application technologies are continually making to business. His TTC seminars were given over a period of several years in the US, Latin America and Europe. Currently, he writes for Scio Consulting’s Haut Tech blog and hosts the monthly Haut Tech Conversations podcast focusing on best practices for “as a Service” businesses and is building an accompanying series of articles and webinars. Because of his history of working in business and with executives from many verticals and all sizes, he has developed a direct and engaging style that cuts through to key issues clearly.
