Juan Carlos Soto leads the Informatica B2B and Cloud Data Integration business unit. Soto joined Informatica in May 2010 as the General Manager for Informatica's Cloud Data Integration and B2B business units where he oversees the product, sales and marketing strategies.
Prior to Informatica, Soto was at Sun Microsystems, where he was a member of Sun’s Executive Management Group. Most recently, Soto was vice president Marketing, Cloud Computing and Developer Products, leading a global team to drive all in-bound and out-bound marketing for Sun’s Public and Private Cloud and developer ecosystem. In his 13 year career at Sun, Soto held a number of executive positions, including that of Software CTO. Soto also ran Sun’s Global Market Development and Engineering, where he led the growth and support of Sun’s worldwide ISV ecosystem.
Prior to Sun, Soto was an executive at Diba, Inc., a pioneer in creating information appliances, which was acquired by Sun. Before Diba, Soto was at Hewlett-Packard for 11 years during which he held various technical and business management positions.
Soto holds a master’s of science in Engineering Management from Stanford University, a masters of science in Computer Science from University of Colorado and a bachelors of science in Computer Engineering from University of Florida.
