Three Strategies For Securing Public And Private Cloud Services (9:00 AM - 10:00 AM)

Three Strategies for Securing Public and Private Cloud Services

September 30, 2010
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM EST
Webinar

Surveys show security and manageability concerns are one of the major obstacles to enterprise adoption of public cloud services. However, enterprises are rapidly virtualizing their own data centers and building out private cloud capabilities—often without fully addressing how this breaks their existing security approaches. Building security into private cloud will be key to integrating public cloud services into hybrid cloud use. Enterprises need to first establish their security baseline for existing use of shared services, virtualization and private cloud. Then they need to map workload sensitivity to "styles" of managing and securing the use of public and private cloud services as a way of extending this baseline to the use of cloud. The final stage is moving to deliver "security as a service" or emerging cloud-based security and management capabilities as a scalable, elastic way of securing and managing cloud use.
